Most Rebirth resources, in particular Vasari, acknowledged north Western artists of the Fifteenth millennium, and Jan van Eyck in particular, with the "invention" of painting with oil press on timber board. However, Theophilus clearly gives guidelines for oil-based painting in his treatise, On Various Artistry, published in 1125. At this interval it was probably used for Abstract Paintings statues, designs and timber accessories, perhaps especially for outside use. Beginning Oil Paintings in the Fifteenth millennium was, however, the first to create oil the regular painting mediumand discover the use of levels and glazes, followed by the relax of Northern Western countries, and only then Tuscany. Beginning performs were still board paintingon timber.
